WooCommerce & Shopping While you visit our store, we’ll track:
- Products you’ve viewed: We’ll use this to, for example, show you products you’ve recently viewed.
- Location, IP address and browser type: We’ll use this for purposes like estimating taxes and shipping (if applicable).
- Shipping address: We’ll ask you to enter this so we can estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!
We also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing our site.
Digital Products & Orders
What we collect and store When you purchase a plugin or download a file from us, we ask for information including your name, billing address, email address, and account credentials (username and password). We use this information for purposes, such as:
- Sending you information about your account and order.
- Providing access to digital downloads and license keys.
- Processing payments and preventing fraud.
- Complying with any legal obligations, such as calculating taxes.
- Improving our store offerings.
We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address, and billing address.
Software Licensing & Updates Our plugins may send data to our servers to validate your license key and check for software updates. This data includes:
- Your website URL (where the plugin is installed).
- The plugin version currently installed.
- Your unique license key.
- WordPress version and PHP version (for compatibility checks).
This data is used strictly to validate your purchase, provide automatic updates, and prevent software piracy. We do not track your website’s visitors or collect your content.
Payment Processors
We accept payments through third-party payment processors (e.g., PayPal, Stripe). When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to the payment processor, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.
Please see the privacy policies of our payment processors for more details on how they handle your data.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
- Administrative Actions: If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.
- Payment Gateways: Necessary data is shared with payment providers to process transactions.
- Third-Party Tools: We may use third-party services for email marketing or support ticketing. Only necessary data (such as your email address) is shared with these services to provide support or updates.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website, we store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
For purchase records, we retain order information for a minimum period required by tax laws (usually 5-7 years depending on jurisdiction).
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
